What you can expect from a healing session.

A Dasa Vayu session begins with the channeller saying a short mantra and opening their body to the divine energy. The reciever of the energy is first diagnosed using a scanning technique as the channeller notes the energy balance/imbalance across the receivers body. It is often the case that to aid the receiver in relaxing completely during the scanning process, the receiver's feet are soaking in a warm scented water footbath during the scanning process. Dasa Vayu can be performed either in a sitting or laying position but most commonly the receiver is laying down, all clothing except shoes and stockings remains on. The channeller will lighty touch the receiver in a series of hand positions similar to reiki sometimes lightly touching for up to 5 minutes while the energy flows through the body of the channeller and through to the receiver. Almost all people report a sense of warmth through their bodies as the process opens up blocked pathways in the receiver's body. Throughout the process the channeller will be using mantra and affirmation to encourage the return to balance of the energy of the receiver.

The experiences people have during a Dasa Vayu healing session can vary widely. Almost everyone feels a greater sense of internal balance and self-integration. It is possible to achieve incredibly beneficial results with multiple treatments but many people enjoy significant results in as little as one treatment.

Dasa Vayu will bring you to trust Divine Love

As in any work involving connecting to the cosmic power of god the result will always be greatest in cases where both the practitioner and the patient consciously work toward being receptive to allowing the Divine energy access through an opening of the heart. It is often the case that the channeller will suggest positive verbal affirmations for the receiver to say either verbally or silently during the treatment.

WHAT IS DASA VAYU?

It was my great good fortune to have been initiated into the healing tradition known as Dasa Vayu in Bali by my guru I Made Sumantra.

In the healing tradition of Indonesia the channeling of divine energy as a curative method has been in constant use for centuries, Dasa Vayu is one of those methods. Dasa Vayu is similar to Reiki. Dasa Vayu has its roots in ancient India and is practiced throughout Indonesia today. Beginning in approximately the ninth century the culture of India spread to Indonesia. This influence is clearly preserved in modern times on the island of Bali. Ancient texts preserved on palm wood tablets called lontar record Sanskrit descriptions of yoga, healing and philosophy brought to the islands during the Hindu expansion. In Bali these Sanskrit texts remain in nearly their original state and are still studied by priests healers and artist. The result is a culture dominated by a holistic integration of the principles of ancient Hinduism. Knowledge of the chakra system and the fabric of the universal energy of god is woven into many aspects of daily life here.

Dasa Vayu as a healing energy is the same channeling of divine energy as Reiki.

Dasa Vayu as a practice is somewhat more complete due to its technique being in constant use for centuries but both Reiki and Dasa Vayu are the same universal god energy. Reiki itself is merely a Japanese name for the same universal divine energy techniques rediscovered through the diligent efforts of Mikao Usui and his meditation and scholarship of ancient Tibetan texts. These texts, which he found preserved in Tibet, were also in written in Sanskrit and originally came from India as part of the Buddhist interpretations of ancient tantric Hinduism. In Bali Hinduism is the dominant religion and the techniques still retain the flavor of the original tantric techniques including the knowledge of the chakra system omitted from the Usui Reiki method.

The process of channelling energy for healing using Dasa Vayu requires the healer understand how cosmic energy enters their body. What forms the energy takes when it moves through the body of the healer and how that energy can be in turn applied to the patient are the primary concerns of the practice. The Balinese recognize that different parts of the body are more sensitized to different frequencies of energy and use a system based upon mapping the incoming energy to the most sensitive organs of the channeller's body and then through the process of mantra and meditation radiating that energy through the channellers heart and palm chakra.
